Christian Rivers is a professional guitarist, teacher and musical director with over 20 years of playing and teaching experience. Alongside teaching, he performs professionally as guitarist and musical director for Sophie Lloyd, bringing real-world professional experience and practical insights into every lesson.
Over the years, Christian has taught hundreds of students aged 6 to 76+, helping complete beginners, returning players and experienced guitarists develop their confidence and achieve their musical goals. From 2015 to 2020, he taught guitar, band performance and music theory at The Rock Project, Berkshire, working with individuals, bands, small groups and large workshops.
Known for his patient, encouraging and down-to-earth approach, Christian creates relaxed, enjoyable lessons tailored to each student's goals, musical tastes and experience. Whether you want to learn your favourite songs, improve your technique, understand music theory or develop your own style, every lesson is designed to help you make steady, enjoyable progress.

Rather than simply showing you what to practise, Christian teaches you how to practise effectively, helping you build confidence, make consistent progress and develop the skills to continue improving between lessons.
Every online lesson is delivered in high-quality audio using professional recording equipment, giving you a clear and enjoyable learning experience. Lessons can also be recorded, allowing you to revisit demonstrations, exercises and feedback whenever you need them.

Online lessons are available worldwide via Zoom, with in-person lessons available in the High Wycombe area.
