Chris’ Teaching Experience & Style
Chris is a professional musician and teacher who has been working in the music industry for over 15 years and has gained vast amounts of experience along the way. Chris has learned from the very best and honed his skills to now pass on to you!
As well as having the experience of teaching 100’s of students from 6 years old to 70 years old, Chris also has the academic qualifications to make him the perfect teacher for you! He has taught guitar lessons, band performance and music theory in one-on-one sessions, groups of 6 and workshops of 30+ as well as tutoring at ‘The Rock Project, Berkshire’ from 2015 – 2020.
He is passionate, educated and highly creative, specialising in songwriting, performance and teaching.
Chris is very easy to get along with and is able to build a rapport with students of all ages due to his calm and friendly nature. As a teacher he is patient and eloquent. As a result of this, his students progress very quickly and maintain their passion for the instrument throughout the learning process. Chris is a strong believer in making the art of music exciting to learn, after all, we all want to learn music because we enjoy it! From Beginners to Advanced Players
Whether you play electric or acoustic guitar, have been playing for years or just starting out, Chris has invaluable tools and ideologies to take your playing to the next level.
Chords and scales are essential skills that all great guitar players know, and so Chris is an advocate for these highly important areas of music. He will show you how to master the art of perfect practice, and break down how professional, successful and legendary artists honed their craft. Once you understand the application you will be able to do the same with your own playing. Lessons will cover technique, songwriting, theory, performance and musicianship, with a wide variety of genres including Blues, Rock, Metal, Pop, Funk, Acoustic and many more.
Chris has professional microphones set up for his guitar and voice, so that you get the best audio quality possible. All you need for your live lesson is your guitar, internet connection and a smartphone or laptop to connect to Zoom or Skype.
Lessons can also be recorded directly to your device or computer. If you feel like you may have missed some information or want to go over an exercise again, you can re-watch it as many times as you wish!
